The annual Donna Summer Disco event is on Thursday, June 27, from 5-9 pm at City Hall Plaza! This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Attendees can enjoy dancing to Donna Summer’s greatest hits in a vibrant setting with glow sticks, bubbles, colorful lights, a disco ball, and the return of roller skating on City Hall Plaza!
Special performances by Donna Summer’s sister, Mary Gaines Bernard, and her nephew O’Mega Red, along with music by DJ Vince1. Donna Summer, a Boston-born disco legend, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, won five Grammy awards, and sold over 140 million records worldwide. Raised in Mission Hill, she rose to fame in the 1970s before passing at 62 on May 17, 2012. This annual event pays tribute to her life and musical legacy in Boston.
