Did you know butterflies taste with their feet and their wings are covered with scales? How can you tell the difference between a butterfly and a moth? Come learn about our beautiful winged pollinators and why they are so important for a healthy ecosystem.
This program begins in the museum’s auditorium with an investigation of native butterfly and moth specimens, a story, and a butterfly craft. We then go on a short guided walk around our native plant garden followed by a guided hike to a field habitat to look for local butterfly species.
