On November 16th Boston experienced a King Tide, which is a colloquial term for an especially high tide corresponding to when the moon is closest to the earth. King tides are simply the very highest tides, and they are naturally occurring, predictable events. Here is the King Tide as it hit the Long Wharf (North) in Boston, MA.
